Certificates of Authenticity
At Greyscales we can provide Holographic Hahnemühle Certificates of Authenticity to guarantee the provenance of your artwork to collectors and dealers.
This is achieved by initially preparing a paper based Certificate of Authenticity, detailing the artists name, the year it was produced, the specific paper and inks used, as well as dimensions and if the print is a limited edition, the edition number and size. This certificate is prepared on deckle edged mould made paper that contains a watermark and fluorescent security fibres. A numbered hologram is then attached to the paper.
An identically numbered hologram is then attached to the rear of the print. The identical holograms - one on the print, and one on the certificate can only relate to one piece of art, and therefore make copying almost impossible.
For extra security, the print can also be registered on the Hahnemühle 'My Art Registry', allowing future owners of your art to confirm provenance alongside the confirmed Certificate of Authenticity hologram number.
